About the Journal

JMIRx Bio is an innovative overlay journal to BioRxiv and JMIR Preprints (other preprint servers are welcome) conceived to address the urgent need to make highly relevant scientific information available as early as possible without losing the quality of the peer-review process. JMIRx Bio offers peer-reviews of preprints and the resulting revised "version of record" is published alongside the peer-review reports across a broad range of biological sciences. We also accept existing reviews from Plan P accredited peer-review services such as PREreview Preprint Journal Clubs, MetaROR, etc.

Unlike the majority of JMIR Publications journals, papers published in this journal do not require a digital health focus. We will consider all research in the biological/life sciences with an existing preprint.

Preprints that have already been peer-reviewed by third-party such as PREreview, MetaRoR, etc do not require further peer-review (at the editors' discretion).
